PROOF

PROMOTIONAL CAMPAIGN

PROOF is the Fashion Media & Promotion annual publication with the intention that it will showcase the whole FMP course – from year 0 to the final year, will cover the academic year and show a range of aspects of the course - from research to final pieces, from workshops to visiting lecturers, from individuals to groups. For this unit we had an opportunity to collaborate with 'PROOF' in order to offer them a variety of ways on how to get promoted and increase the number of students applying for the FMP course. The idea that I offer is hard to call a 'direct promotion' however it will definitely excite our potential students and lead to a bigger number of new applicants.

UCA is a well-known creative university that contains a huge number of the greatest talents that may stand out with their ideas already on the first year of studying and these best of the best tend to be passionate about exploring the actual industry. For this reason we are constantly searching for different fashion experience we can get as freelancers what takes time to research, hours spent in trains to London and money which are wasted in case of your interview being unsuccessfull.

THERE ARE PLENTY OF US (FREELANCERS) AND THERE ARE PLENTY OF THEM (CLIENTS), WHY NOT TO HELP US FIND EACH OTHER?

MY IDEA

STEP 1 : UCA creating a freelance team which is also called PROOF and includes the most ambitious and talented students (who's work and process is included in the publication). At the same time there are clients such as stylists, photographers, publishing houses, bloggers etc. who are constantly looking for young and talented assistants. UCA can become a meeting point for both!

It will then lead to a bigger amount of 'our' professionals out in the industry that are not necessarily already an alumni and can be still studying. This leads to a bigger number of options to promote a course through them and their current workplaces.

STEP 2 : Include the information about the freelance team into a PROOF publication as a section called 'I AM TALENTED, LET ME PROVE THIS.' It will make publication more interesting for potential students as it will show where they can get already while studying, if they work hard. PROOF freelancers will create their own website (included into publication) where they will include their CV's, profiles and experiences. Based on that, clients will choose individuals who are the most suitable for them in case they are looking for an individual assistant rather than a team.

STEP 3: PROOF freelance team will promote the publication through themselves. The further in the industry they get, the better it is. While freelancing this year I got to work with Prince Cassius who is a very well-known London blogger while my mate was freelancing for the agency that style Rita Ora and Beyonce. We have these contacts and in order to promote PROOF team we would provide them with a publication, so that if they quickly need a young talent to help, they know from where to choose! This is what UCA 1st and 2nd years do at their free time and this is what we need to share with potential students in order to make them crazy about opportunities that surround us!

STEP 4: Because PROOF publication will be published in a year of time, it is a great opportunity to challenge UCA students and see who will get further into the industry and promote PROOF team to the greater people.

Through a 'PROOF freelance team' UCA gains a recognition not only from the industry but from it's potential students because an opportunity to work with someone BIG in the fashion industry is what every student is dreaming about.

- The ones who achieved the most will attend university fairs together with tutors and so instead of just getting some booklets to read, college students will get a PROOF publication and an immediate introduction to it directly from those talents who's great achievements are icluded in the publication.

- Publication will include Instagram & Periscope accounts of the team. 'PROOF' Instagram will represent the best outcomes only (in order to see the process you will need to order a publication). Apart from outcomes such as editorials, the posts will include different names with whom our students managed to work (ex. Katy Perry). Post won't include any explanation, so in order to get one students can follow 'PROOF' on Periscope and see our talents live talking on how did they get to where they are now. Periscope lets viewers comment while the translation is happening what will create an interaction with the audience as 'the talent' will be replying to the questions that interest the viewers.

During university fairs 'PROOF' team will ask students for their Instagram & Periscope accounts in order to follow them from the professional account and constantly remind about the course through likes etc. In average, young users check their Instagram 25 times a day, so this platform is the best way to promote anything.

- Apart from focusing on a hard work, Periscope will include live videos from different Press events, showing goodie bags and all the treatments that our talents will receive.

The further we make it now, the more wanted we are then.
